Day 11 – Read Matthew 21-22

The time was accomplished for Jesus to make His triumphant entry into Jerusalem. His entrance fulfilled prophecy and set in motion the Father’s plan for His crucifixion and resurrection the following week. Jesus cleansed the temple of money changers who were dishonest, taking advantage of worshipers who sought to offer sacrifices. God’s house was to be a house of prayer. Parables were used to remind the disciples that bearing good fruit was the result of following Christ. Jesus continued to prove His authority to those who tested Him. No one successfully tricked or debated Him. He summed up the Law with “The Great Commandment”.
